Out & About with Shinola

For my recent shoot with the Detroit brand, Shinola, I skipped around New Orleans with my friend Beau to capture their new fall leather collection. Here are some of my favorite spots in NOLA accessorized with their beautiful pieces.

District Hand Pies and District Donuts are both great places to grab savory and sweet yummies along with a nice, cold brew.

Tableau is our usual friday spot. They have a great happy hour at the bars downstairs or upstairs. It's by Jackson Square so you get to experience all the festive sounds. It's also a hop skip away from Cafe Du Monde!

I might be chopped for this but I think Morning Call's beignets and cafe au lait are slightly better than Cafe Du Monde's. There's also never a wait so that's a huge plus. Don't get me wrong though, I still love me some CDM. Featuring

1000 Figs is a relatively new restaurant that Beau told me about and it's really cute. It's got an earthy, Portland vibe. The space is small so it feels intimate.

The New Orleans Museum of Art is beautiful. It's the oldest art institute in New Orleans started in 1911. They also have a sculpture garden with 200 year-old live oak trees. It also takes you straight to Morning Call for more beignets!

Cane & Table is chill with another great happy hour. They also have bottomless bloody's and mimosas on brunch so haaay!

Pulp & Grind is coffee shop in the Central Business District. The space gets a lot of light and it's designed well where you can get some work done. There needs to be more coffee shops in NOLA.

The French Quarter makes you do all kinds of silly things.
