ANOTHER VISIT TO THIS SANTA MONICA HOME

I'm working out of this beautiful home in Santa Monica for a few days. It's nice to be back here again. It belongs to one of my clients and we're designing a new product and packaging it up. It's great to get out because working from home all the time can make you feel like some outcast. This is one of my favorite spaces, and I've photographed it to death two years ago. If you look at the home tour I posted before, not much has changed. The fiddle leaf fig tree hella grew. That thing is a beast. Still love the fig even though it's so three years ago. Am I right?! Ha. There are more art on the walls now and a beautiful pair of ceramic pendant lights hanging in the living room.

What I've always loved about this home is that it's got a relaxed and chill vibe. It's boho, but like in a refined way. It's not over styled. Everything feels purposeful. I'm still obsessing over their vintage B&B Italia caramel sofa, plus that double headed brass mirror. The foundation of this house is ridiculous so anything in here will look pretty amazing and the people who live here obviously have impeccable taste. The great thing about it is, all of this can be easily pulled off without really breaking the bank. Every thing you see here are vintage pieces. What I always tell people is to invest in art, rugs, and plants, and those things will make your home sweet and cozy. Okay, some pillows and a few throws help too. And books! Books because you don't want to look like an idiot. I will never forget what John Waters once said —

"If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't fuck 'em!'"
