Anna's Bathroom Transformation Part 1

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Floor & Decor. All opinions are 100% mine.

I can’t believe 2019 is almost over! It was a year full of renovations and guess what, we’re gonna tackle one more before the year ends! Going out with a bang, am I right?! We are helping my best friend, Anna update her bathroom. You might remember her bedroom makeover a few months ago. How fun was that one? Well, we got another hot mess situation. And we’re excited to partner with Floor & Decor again for this exciting transformation.

Anna and her husband really loved what I did with my green bathroom in Los Angeles and our New Orleans bathroom so we decided to combine both of those styles to give them a fresh and bold update. This is gonna be their forever home. It’s time to give them their dream bath!

Anna’s bathroom needs a lot of love as you can tell. There's a bathtub with only a tub faucet so they never used it. What we’re gonna do is update the tub and hook them up with the whole water works including a handshower. The walk-in shower is gone! Bai! We’re converting it into a closet because they desperately need more storage space. This is gonna be way more functional. We’re moving the vanity and toilet to the wider wall. It makes more sense in terms of flow. We’ll hang towel hooks and a towel bar near the tub so they don’t have to skip across the room to grab a towel after a shower. They’re getting a bigger vanity (more storage) with two arched mirrors. They no longer have to share a tiny medicine cabinet that was installed way too high. At about 4’11” Anna needs a proper mirror hung at the right height so she can apply make up and just check out how fierce she is on the daily. Okrrr!

The photos above are of my bathrooms that Anna really loves. For her bathroom, I’ve created a moodboard with greens, neutrals, and a graphic punch! It’ll be timeless. I’ve also mocked up what it’ll look like for them below. Classy, right?!

We’re gonna do an accent green wall and keep the rest of the room bright and white. I think like most people, Anna was a little hesitant about adding a dark color or any color in general, because she didn’t want the room to feel any smaller. I assured her that no color in the world can make any room look or feel bigger or smaller.

I’ve been wanting to use these prism porcelain mosaic tiles from Floor & Decor for awhile and honestly I’m a little jealous. You just can’t go wrong with them! For the shower walls, we’re going with classic white subway tiles

Did you know that Floor & Decor also has vanities, faucets, and bathroom fixtures from their Studio Design Collection? I was so impressed! They’re like a one-stop shop for your bathroom reno! This made everything super easy and they just opened a new store not too far away from us, too! They honestly have some of the best deals and styles when it comes to tiles. We picked out a double vanity in grey with matte gold faucets. The faucets feel solid and it’s the perfect brushed gold color.

We already got a head start on this so let me show you some process photos. Stay tuned for the whole reveal in a couple of weeks!
