PLAIDFOX • PAIRING FURNITURE WITH FASHION

I've always been very interested in fashion and have been following the runway shows since high school. I enjoy seeing how trends translate into other areas of design, like interiors. Since the Spring 2015 fashion shows are happening right now, I thought it'd be fun to partner up with PlaidFox, which is a new online home decor shop with lots of beautiful modern furnishings. I'm especially coveting all their mid-century chairs. So, I decided to pair their furniture and home goods with interesting looks on the runway. The pairs are picked from either similar colors, or style or just some crazy story I imagined. If you have some fun captions to go with these pairings, let's hear them!

Also if you create an account with PlaidFox, whenever you make a purchase you also earn 8% of your purchase value back in cash credit to use later. Pretty awesome deal!

Now, let's talk about that yolky look above. It's my favorite because, hello, yellow! I love this color blocking look Edeline Lee but I especially love the cut out details. I paired the look with a yellow cowhide rug, and an Eames style rocking chair. Cowhide rugs can be questionable for me. It can look straight up road kill on your floor. So if you like the feel of cowhide, this is a fun alternative. And the Eames style rocking chair is always a classic.

This love seat and pillow had a baby, and named it Marni!

Well, this awesome lady decided to cut her Karen Walker dress shorter and made a pillow with the extra fabric. And she sewed the pillow on that yummy mid-century orange chair.

Understated elegance. This copper finnmark table and wishbone chair. Dress by The Row

Let's put a rug on the Mara Hoffman runway and add a few Acapulco chairs in the back where the cacti are. Then, this runway look would be killer! And I totally picture Justina rocking this look!

This post was created in partnership with PlaidFox. Sweet thanks!
